Equipping careers professionals for enterprising conversations

CPD Topic: Global Entrepreneurship Week

As a careers professional, you are often one of the first points of contact for individuals and organisations considering these options. This places you in a vital role, not only to provide detailed information, advice and guidance, but to explore motivations, surface needs, and confidently sign-post clients to the most relevant resources, networks, and next steps.

This interactive workshop, offered in collaboration with Enterprise Educators UK, is designed to strengthen your confidence and provide a practical toolkit for effective enterprising conversations. As a participant, you will:

• Explore the skills and competencies associated with enterprising and entrepreneurial activity.

• Recognise and differentiate the key applications of these skills and competencies.

• Discover how to support clients to better understand and reflect on enterprising and entrepreneurial competencies and opportunities.

• Develop a Resource Matrix tailored to your institutional context. Identify networks which can support further development.

The session combines input, discussion, and practical exercises to help you embed enterprise awareness into your careers practice. Suitable for a wide range of careers professionals, whether you are new to this area or seeking to refresh your approach, this workshop will equip you with the confidence, tools, and strategies to support and empower clients on their enterprising journeys.
